An Analysis on the Characteristics of Industrial Accumulation at Zhujiang Delta in China : By the Fixed Point Observation in Shunde

本文以广东省珠江三角洲产业集聚特征为研究对象。我把顺德的商业环境作为一个重要的观察对象。人们对珠江三角洲的普遍看法是东岸地区。但是，我强调的是顺德所在的西部内陆地区的经济发展。顺德是世界上最大的家电、家具工业区。它显示了能够通过出口增长和刺激内需取得平衡的发展类型。在这个研究中，我主要考虑了四个主题。首先，我澄清了顺德在20世纪初已经发展成为超过上海和天津的领先蚕桑和丝绸工业区。其次，顺德还发展了世界上最大的家具产业集群。顺德形成了将各类产业划分为片区的城市发展体系。历史上形成了企业家思想，顺德企业和政府支持体系形成了“顺德模式”。第三，我考察了许多跨国公司的理论，如雁行模式理论和出口加工区理论。特别对珠江三角洲的加工交易贸易与墨西哥的加工厂进行了比较。指出了中墨两国出口加工交易贸易重组的新趋势。最后，在珠江三角洲，环形基础设施建设快速推进，日本汽车制造基地加速产业积累。三角洲地区最近开始引起人们对扩大内需的关注。

This study focuses on the characteristics of the industrial accumulation at the Zhujiang Delta in Guangdong Province, China. I observed the business environment of Shunde as an important target.A popular perspective on the Zhujiang Delta is east shore area. However, I emphasize the economic development of the west side inland area in which Shunde is located. Shunde is the largest industrial region of household appliance, furniture in the world. It shows the development type that is able to take balance through the export growth and the stimulation of domestic demand.In this study, I mainly considered four subjects. First, I clarified that Shunde had developed into the leading sericulture and silk industrial area exceeding Shanghai and Tianjin in the beginning of the 1900s. Second, Shunde also developed the largest furniture industrial cluster in the world. In Shunde, the urban development system by which various types of industry were divided into the zone has developed. The entrepreneur mind formed historically and the Shunde companies and governmental support system were set up as a "Shunde model". Third, I examined many theories of the multinational corporation, such as a flying-geese-pattern theory and the Export Processing Zone. Especially I compared the processing deal trade of Zhujiang Delta with the mexican Maquiladora. As a result, I pointed out the new reorganization trend of export processing deal trade in China and Mexico. Finally, in the Zhujiang Delta, the ring type infrastructure is progressing quickly, and Japanese automobile makers' bases accelerate industrial accumulation. The Delta is newly beginning to attract attention on the expansion of domestic-demand.
