申請者が、retorospectiveに慢性膵炎術後患者の食生活・飲酒習慣の変化とその背景要因について調査を行い検討した結果、慢性膵炎術後患者は、術後約半年頃から食事や飲酒において、制限が次第に緩む傾向が認められた。そのため、慢性膵炎術後患者が食事・飲酒において制限を継続的、かつ有効に行っていくために看護者は、従来の栄養士による栄養指導に加え、術後約半年を目処に、患者の食事、飲酒調整の現状や栄養状態などについて客観的な栄養評価を行い、食事・飲酒制限のための具体的な療養行動支援を行う必要があるとの示唆を得た。そこで本研究では、慢性膵炎術後患者の術前から現在までの食生活・飲酒習慣の変化、およびこれらに関する身体状況、職業生活の変化、ならびに心理社会的背景についてretorospectiveに調査し、明らかになった事に基づいて、prospectiveな調査を実施し、慢性膵炎術後患者に対する効果的な療養行動支援に資することを目的とした。平成17年度においては、prospectiveな調査を実施するための調査票作成について検討した。すなわち、慢性膵炎で手術を受ける予定の患者を対象に、術前の食事・飲酒習慣ならびに術後半年が経過した時点での食事の食べ方、食品や栄養素の選び方、アルコール摂取の有無、摂取し始めた時期、摂取の仕方とその調整および社会生活との関連、心理的側面などについての項目を収集する事とした。そして、慢性疾患患者への看護実践および研究のスーパーバイザー複数名に上記の収集調査項目の適切性について尋ね、修正を行うとともに調査項目の回答時間や言葉の使い方についても質問を行い、修正・検討し、prospectiveな調査における調査票の適切性の検討を行った。
