最終年度にあたる今年度は、前年度までの成果を踏まつつ、研究を総括する目的も含めて述部先行型の言語(チャモロ語)と述部後行型言語(日本語)の比較対照研究を引き続き行った。以下にその主要な成果を2点述べる。(1)チャモロ語のWH一致現象」と日本語の名詞句内の節における主格・属格交替の現象(「が・の交替」)との理論的関連性(Watanabe(1996)参照)について研究を行った。前者はアイルランド語などと同様にWH移動の際の循環的移動の性質の形態論的具現化とも考えられてきたが、検証の結果、この現象は、マドゥラ語(西オーストロネシア語族)の移動構文において観察される現象(Davies 2000参照)と同類の性質のものとして捉えるべきとの結論に到達した。これに従えば、チャモロ語の現象はWH要素自体ではなく、WH要素を含む節の移動によって引き起こされる現象ということになり、日本語の格の交替現象との関連性は極めて薄いことになる。(2)前年度に引き続き日本語における「目的語名詞句の可視的移動仮説」について研究を進めた。その結果、上述の「が・の交替」において観察される他動詞制約(Harada 1973a,1976,Watanabe 1996等参照)と日本語使役構文などで観察されてきた「二重対格制約」(Harada1973b,Kuroda 1978等参照)の二つの制約について(i)上記で述べた日本語における「目的語名詞句の可視的移動仮説」と(ii)極小主義の理論的枠組みで広く採用されている「フェイズ」の考え方を採用することにより、原理的かつ統一的な説明が可能になるという趣旨の仮説を構築した。現在、これらの成果をまとめて学会・学術雑誌において発表する準備を進めている。

A comparative study of the results of this year's and previous years 'research, including the use of paraphrase antecedent speech and paraphrase antecedent speech (Japanese). The main achievements are described in the following 2 points. (1)A study of the theoretical relevance of the phenomenon of nominative and genitive alternation in Japanese nouns ("")(Watanabe(1996)). The former is related to the morphological materialization of the nature of the movement of the WH during movement, the results of the examination, the phenomena of the movement of the WH during movement, the phenomena of the movement of the WH during movement (Davies 2000) and the conclusions of the nature of the same kind. The phenomenon of WH element itself, the movement of WH element including node, the phenomenon of Japanese case alternation, the correlation of WH element itself, the phenomenon of Japanese case alternation, and the phenomenon of Japanese case alternation. (2)Previous year's introduction of Japanese language "target language words and visual movement" in the middle of the research progress As a result, the above-mentioned "" and "(Harada 1973a,1976,Watanabe 1996, etc.) Japanese causative structure "double case constraint"(Harada 1973b,Kuroda 1978, etc.)(i) The Japanese language mentioned above refers to "the visual movement of target words" and (ii) The theoretical organization of minimalism refers to the adoption of "the concept of target words" and the principle of unified explanation. Now, the results of the study are ready for further study.
