本年度は、まず『説文解字』に収録されている古文・籀文および諸種の或体や俗字に焦点を当て、その偏旁分析を試みた。これらの文字に関しては、『説文解字』の記述が正確な字形分析を含まない場合が多く、小篆のように自然言語処理によって、自動的に偏旁を抽出することは不可能である。故に、再び電子テキスト情報から手作業で電子計算表を作成し、偏旁の種類および出現頻度を調べた。『説文解字』では、古文・籀文の字形分析には、小象偏旁が多用される。それは、許慎が字形分析に当たり必ずしも各書体を峻別しなかったことを意味するが、その背景としては次のような事情が推測される。つまり、許慎が認識していた古文・籀文には、小篆と一致する字形が数多く含まれ、小篆と異なる場合にのみ古文・籀文の字形が『説文解字』に列記される。言い換えれば、古文・籀文に関しては、収録字形は全体の一部に過ぎず、大半は、小篆に紛れて不可視化されている。それ故に、古文・籀文の偏旁体系は、単独では構築できず、小篆の偏旁体系と合体させて復元しなければならなかった。次に、古文・籀文のほかに、戦国時代の璽印文字の字形整理に着手した。璽印文字には、戦国時代に著しくなる国別の字形分化が端的に現れ、各国独自の偏旁体系を分析するのに、恰好の材料を提供する。しかし、璽印資料は純粋な画像データであるため、画像データに含まれる文字の字形要素を、電子的な加工が可能な文字データに転換し、画像データと文字データをリンクさせる作業が必要になる。それを実現させるために、所属研究所内の情報資源利用研究センターに新たに「中国古文字資料コーパスの研究」と題するプロジェクトを立ち上げた。今後は、画像データに言語学的情報を附加する経験を活用し、研究代表者の本来の専門領域である中国法制史に立ち戻り、中国戦国時代法制史料のデータベースを構築する予定である。
