本研究では、代理変数を含む回帰モデルにおける推定量の統計的性質と代理変数の質の関係を明らかにし、実証分析へ応用することを目的とした。推定量の理論的分析に関しては、各種縮小推定量を用いて研究を行った。分析結果より、用いる代理変数の質が推定量の統計的性質の評価に影響を与えることが明らかになった。さらに、評価基準である損失関数を考慮すると、用いる損失関数によっても推定量に関する評価が異なることが明らかになった。これら結果より、推定量の統計的性質に着目した場合、代理変数の質が良い場合であってもその代理変数を用いないほうが望ましい場合があり、観測不可能な変数が回帰モデルに含まれる場合には、推定量の評価基準や代理変数の質を考慮した上で推定方法の選択を行うべきであることが明らかになった。これら結果は、論文1にもまとめられている。さらに、今年度はこれら理論分析による結果を考慮した賃金関数の実証分析、および実証分析を行う上でさらに必要となる推定量の理論分析を行っている。実証分析においては、研究対象を大卒男性とし、賃金センサスによるデータを用いている。実証分析を行う際には、得られた推定量の有意性について仮説検定を行う必要がある。しかし、本研究で用いている各種推定量については、その密度関数を理論的に求めることは難しく、仮説検定を行うことが極めて困難である。本研究では、この点にも着目し、推定量の密度関数に関してブートストラップ法を用いた分析を行っている。ブートストラップ法を用いることで、密度関数がわからない推定量についても、有意性の検定を行う際の棄却域を数値計算により求めることが可能であり、本研究や用いている各種推定量をより適切に実証分析に応用することが可能になる。論文1.非対称な損失関数に基づく代理変数の統計的性質、国民経済雑誌2005年
