本年度は、昨年度に収集したスタッフォードシャー州文書館所蔵の四季裁判所記録、Calendars of Prisonersのデータベース化を進めた。デジタルカメラで撮影した1777年から1860年までの記録のうち、1777年から1820年まで、タイプされている部分のみであるが、データ入力が完了している。欄外に手書きで評決や判決等の追加情報が書き込まれているケースも多々あるが、これは未入力となっている。平成19年2月9日から3月2日まで、資料収集のために渡英し、国立公文書館(NA)およびスタッフォードシャー州文書館(SRO)を訪れた。昨年度は、NA所蔵の巡回裁判の起訴状(indictments)のトランスクリプトを行ったが、情報量は豊富なもののデジタルカメラでの撮影が難しいため、数週間の渡英では意味のある年数分のトランスクリプトが不可能と判断し、代わりに、情報量は落ちるが、冊子の形態をとっていて撮影が容易な、Crown Minute Books(National Archives, ASSI 2)を閲覧し、1775年から1791年まで撮影した。これにより、Calendars of Prisonersに掲載されている拘留者のうち、巡回裁判での判決によるものの罪状があきらかになる。また、SROでは、Quarter Sessions Order Booksを閲覧した。これは、犯罪のみならず、民事訴訟や行政手続について、四季裁判所が下した判断を網羅したものであり、Calendars of Prisonersの作成の背景を知る上で重要な史料である。昨年8月には、早稲田大学社会科学部中野忠教授の科研セミナーにて「生存戦略と非公式経済」と題して、公式の経済活動以外の、生存(make shift)のための活動について報告した。またCalendars of Prisonersのパイロット的な分析を、「産業革命期イングランドの貧困と犯罪」として執筆中である。
