项目摘要

「保育をめぐる「声」とジェンダー-『京阪神聯合保育会雑誌』をてがかりに-」『山梨大学教育人間科学部紀要』第9巻(2007年度)を発表。明治期において,保育者の専門性は,見習いによって伝達されると同時に,保育者間の知の交換・流通によって確立されてきた。そうした専門性に関わる場において,ジェンダーがどのように作用するかということが,本研究の主題となるわけだが,上記論文では,京都,大阪,神戸の各保育会および連合保育会における議事,講演,その他の記事からなる機関紙において,保育者,保育・教育関係者,研究者それぞれの立場を,発言内容,保育の現実とその表象との距離と連関,発言機会のあり方といった語りの形態やジェンダーと関連づけて考察した。発話者のジェンダーとして特徴的なことは,講演は主として男性が担っていたこと,保育に関する具体的な課題について話し合う議事においては,幼稚園長を務める男性,一部の幼稚園長を務める女性,保育者である女性が意見を出し合っていたこと,委員等の男女比は,男女同数のことも,女性が減少することもあったことがあげられる。そうした状況において,女性というジェンダーが,保育についての専門的かつ具体的な語りの多くを担うものであったこと,機関紙というメディアがその声の反復、反響を可能にする場となっていたこと,女性が発言者となる機会が少ないという一般的な状況を反映し,外国人を除く女性の発言機会は権威的な形式をとらなかったが,女性による専門的かつ具体的な発言とその反響は,そうした状況を一部転覆するものでもあったと結論づけることができた。
