本研究では,狩野一渓が元和九年(1623)に編述した『後素集』について,漢画の画題とその解説に注目し,それが中世末期から近世初期にかけての絵画の鑑賞者である知識層の故事理解をどの程度反映させているのかという問題を解明するべく,基礎的調査を行った。とくに,同時代の政治思想が反映される「聖賢」「帝王」の項目に注目し,明に成立した鑑戒書『帝鑑図説』を利用したと思われる部分を取り上げて考察を試みることで,編者一渓の故事理解が同時代の一般的な故事理解をある程度反映したものであったことを明らかにした。

In this study, one year and nine years (1623), I wrote a collection of essentials, painting problems, and so on. At the same time, the political thoughts of the same generation reflected the attention of the "Emperor" project, and clearly established the "Emperor's Guide" to make use of the section of the book to investigate the story. The editor understood the story and the general level of story understanding at the same time reflected the appreciation of the story.
