大恐慌期を中心とした経済危機の時代における経済政策と経済学との関連について、以下の5点を行った。(1)大恐慌期の経済学と経済政策についての解明、(2)国際通貨制度とマクロ経済政策思想、政策との関連の考察、(3)歴史政治経済学の基礎にあたる政策形成と思想の関連についての政治経済学的考察、(4)大恐慌期をはさむ大戦間期における日本の経済思想の動向についての研究、(5)その後の時代のマクロ経済危機との比較と、それを通じて現代の経済危機にどういう教訓を得るかの研究。これらの研究を通じて、これまで断片的になされてきた大恐慌期の経済政策と経済学の関連がより明確になったと考える。
