Systematic Construction and Combination of Timing Synchronization and Routing in Large-Scale Ad-hoc Networks

This research aims at constructing self adaptive communication protocols and networking in large-scale, high-density ad-hoc networks.For this purpose, we focused on and investigated systematic construction and combination of timing synchronization. and routing in the network.The obtained results are summarized as follows.(i) In widely-used IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol, an essential bottleneck is identified in timing synchronization process.(ii) To avoid and eliminate this bottleneck, we have constructed a new timing synchronization algorithm based on IEEE 802.11.(iii) Adding to this new algorithm, we are currently constructing a certain combination of timing synchronization and routing algorithm, which will be presented as a journal paper and also as a patent proposal near future.
