A Case Study on the Welfare Functions of Citizen in the Temples in Taiwan and Singapore

台湾和新加坡的寺庙经常被社区用作城市公共空间进行聊天或其他活动，在城市现代化弱化了家庭和社会关系的同时，寺庙在聚集社区游客方面发挥了重要作用。特别是从福利的角度，针对台湾、新加坡的问题，探讨邻里之间如何在日常生活中互相配合、互相帮助。经过研究，我们增加了3个地区(马来西亚的中国，厦门)，因此，本报告由5个地区组成。经过5个地区的调查，得出以下结论：许多现代城市正在失去圣地寺庙的叹息。这一宗教设施通过崇拜参与合作和相互帮助解决任何问题，在凝聚人们方面发挥了重要作用。然而，新加坡、马来西亚寺庙的福利职能仅限于成员。在厦门的中国，由于政府政策的原因，管理活动薄弱。

The temples in Taiwan and Singapore are often used by the neighborhoods as urban public spaces for chatting or some other activities.They play an important role to gather neighborhoods visitors while the city modernization has weakened family and society relationsThis study is aimed to clarify the characteristic the temples in urban area today. Especial from point of welfare, we want to discuss the way of how neighborhoods cooperate in daily life and help each other against the problems in Taiwan and Singapore. After the research we added to more 3 regions (Xiamen in China, Malaysia) So, this report consists of 5 regionsAfter 5 regions investigation, the following conclusions were obtained Many of the modern cities are losing sigh of holy place, Temples. This religious facility plays an important role in gathering people by worshiped participation in cooperation and helping each other to solve any problemsHowever, welfare functions of the Temples in Singapore, Malaysia are limited to the only members. In Xiamen in China, management activities are weak, because of Government policy.
