项目摘要

本研究の目的は、1960年代以降に本格化したリージョナルシアター運動に観察される、アメリカ文化の均質化過程について把握することである。本年度は、前年度に引き続き、(1)リージョナルシアター運営に関する基礎財政データ、(2)人材流通データの収集・分析をおこなうとともに、(3)劇場施設の立地が観客層の均質化に与える影響について、個別リージョナルシアターに関する資料の収集・分析と、関連文献の読み込みをおこなった。(1)(2)については、1970年代、フォード財団のCash Reserve Grantの助成対象となったリージョナルシアターのデータを得ることで、長期にわたって、比較的一貫したデータを得ることができた。リージョナルシアター・セクター全体としての均質化傾向を明らかにすることはできなかったが、設立年・施設規模による小グループ毎の分析の結果、ある程度、均質化傾向を明らかにすることができた。(3)については、Arena Stage, Seattle Repertory Theatreに関する資料・文献の読み込みを行い、加えて、新たに、Guthrie Theaterにおける調査・資料収集によって、ワシントンDC、シアトル、ミネアポリスの各都市におけるリージョナルシアターの劇場施設の立地と、観客層の均質化傾向との関係について、分析をおこなった。その成果は、「リージョナルシアターとアメリカ地域社会:アリーナ・ステージの立地を中心に」として報告した。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the homogenization process of culture since the 1960s. This year, compared with the previous year, we conducted research on: (1) basic financial data related to the management of talent circulation;(2) collection and analysis of talent circulation data; and (3) collection and analysis of data related to homogenization and impact of theater facilities on customer layers and individual talent circulation data. (1)(2) In the 1970s, the Cash Reserve Grant of the United States Treasury was used to assist in the formation of the image, the long-term development, the comparison of the consistent development. The homogenization tendency of the whole population is clear, and the results of the analysis of the establishment year and the construction scale are clear. (3)For example, Arena Stage, Seattle Repertory Theatre data, literature research, research, data collection, site analysis, guest layer homogenization tendency, and relationship among Theater facilities, venues, and venues in various cities.
