项目摘要

本研究では,主に経営倫理と,情報通信技術(ICT)に関する諸問題を相関的に捉え,ビジネス情報倫理学という新たな学際的研究領域の構築を試みるために,主に個人情報保護・プライバシー保護の問題について論じることを意図した研究活動を展開してきた。ここでは(1)経営倫理・情報倫理における理論的基盤の構築、(2)社会科学的アプローチと自然科学的アプローチの融合、(3)社会的・文化的差異と倫理的取組みの関係についての研究という3点を具体的な研究内容としている。これらの3点について,以下のような成果を得ることができた。(1)経営倫理および情報倫理分野における文献研究,理論分析を通じて,企業における個人情報保護やプライバシー保護についての研究を体系的に整理するとともに,その定義について検討し,その成果は博士(商学)学位請求論文においてとりまとめられている。(2)個人情報保護や情報セキュリティの問題領域に対する,社会科学的アプローチと自然科学的アプローチの融合が試みられたことによって,これらの問題を捉えるための新たな視点が提示され,問題状況への理解が深まった。(3)日本における個人情報保護への取組みの現状から,適切な個人情報保護ポリシーを提案した。また,そのような提案を国際会議の場で報告することにより,グローバルなレベルでの議論を促した。以上のように,本研究は主に個人情報保護・プライバシー保護に関わる問題を包括的にかつ多面的に検討することにより,ビジネス情報倫理学という新たな研究領域の開拓に寄与した。
