今年度の研究において最も大きな成果であったのは、地質学ならびに岩石学の研究者と共同研究の末、連名で執筆した査読論文「いわゆる「頁岩質砂岩」の原産地について」を発表したことである。この論文は、これまで九州・中国西部地方で広く流通していた、いわゆる「頁岩質砂岩」製石器の石材の原産地同定を考古学的方法と地球科学的方法(EPMAを用いた岩石中の鉱物の化学組成分析等)の両方を用いて行った画期的な論文である。その結果、「頁岩質砂岩」の原産地は長崎県対馬南部の可能性が極めて高いことを学史上初めて明らかにし、弥生時代の石器の生産と流通研究に新たな知見と可能性を示す重要な結果を得ることができた。また、弥生時代開始期の朝鮮半島のものと極めて近似する石庖丁がこの石材で製作されていることが唐津市菜畑遺跡出土等の石庖丁の調査から明らかになり、この石材を通した朝鮮半島との関連性も明らかにできた。そしてまた、今年度は金属器への転換過程について石器の消滅過程からそれを明らかにするという研究アプローチをとり、転換期である弥生時代後期の石器の生産と流通の分析を行い、利器の金属器化が進むと石器の生産・流通は停滞するが、金属器化が遅れる石器は前段階よりその規模は縮小しながらもその生産・流通が継続することを、弥生時代後期に有明海沿岸地域で流通した石英玄武岩製石庖丁の分析例から明らかにした。また、筆者の研究課題は東アジアにおける石器から金属器への転換過程を生産と流通という視点から明らかにすることであるが、今年度は台湾に調査に赴き、特に石器の生産と流通について日本列島等と比較研究するために台南地域出土の石器資料の調査を約1週間行った。その結果、台南地域の石器の石材には在地産のものもあるが、特に加工斧の多くは山脈を越えた台東地域の蛇紋岩が用いられていることが明らかになった。

This year's research results are the largest, and geological and petrological researchers are jointly studying the end and even writing the paper "Shale sandstone and its origin." The results show that the origin of shale sandstone is very likely to be in the south of Nagasaki Prefecture, and the possibility of new knowledge in the production and circulation of stone tools in the early Ming and Yaeo periods is very important. A survey of stone production in the Korean Peninsula at the beginning of the Yaeo era revealed the connection between the stone production and the Korean Peninsula. The production and circulation of stone tools in the late Yaeo era were analyzed in the process of metal tool exchange in this year. The production and circulation of stone tools in the late Yaeo era were stagnated. Metallization of the first stage of stone tools has been reduced in scale, production and circulation in the late Yaeo era, circulation in the coastal areas of the Ming Sea, and analysis of quartz basalt stone production in the Ming Dynasty. This year, the author conducted a survey on the production and circulation of stone tools in Taiwan, a comparative study on the production and circulation of stone tools in the Japanese archipelago, and a survey on the data of stone tools unearthed in the Tainan area for about one week. As a result, the stone tools in Tainan area are used in the real estate.
