本研究プロジェクトに関する実験研究をまとめた論文「When You Ask Zeus a Favor:The Third Party's Voice in a Dictator Game」を査読付き英文誌The Japanese Economic Reviewに投稿し、数回の改訂を経て掲載が受理された。平成18年度に雑誌Experimental Economicsに掲載が受理された論文「Voice Matters in a Dictator Game」では、意図や情報の伝達を介さずとも、「声」が他者の行動に影響を与えうることを示唆していた。一方、本論文では「声」の送り手が受け手と利害関係にあるか否かによって受け手の行動に与える影響が異なることを示した。より具体的には、「第三者の声」と「服従者の声」のオプションがそれぞれ加わった独裁者ゲームを経済学実験によって検証した。まず、独裁者が選択する配分は「声」が服従者のものであっても第三者のものであっても、その「声」に応じて変化することが示された。特に、等分以下の「声」に対しては、「声」が提示する額に比例して服従者に与える額が増加する。等分を超える「声」に対する反応に「服従者の声」と「第三者の声」の相違が顕著に観察された。等分を超える「服従者の声」に対しては、服従者に与える額が「声」が提示する額とともに減少していくという傾向をもつ一方、等分を超える「第三者の声」に対しては、等分前後を常に選択するという傾向が観察された。さらに、服従者の「声」が等分を超える貪欲な額を提示した場合、服従者が受け取る額は通常の独裁者ゲームよりも有意に少ない。また、第三者の「声」が等分を提示した場合、服従者が受け取る額は通常の独裁者ゲームよりも有意に多いことが観察されている。
