アジア各地で直達・散乱成分別の光合成有効放射の長期観測を実施し,雲やエアロゾルの変動が光合成有効放射の直達・散乱成分比に与える影響を詳細に解析すると共に,散乱成分が大きい条件下で,光合成量が増加するメカニズムを三次元放射伝達モデル+光合成モデルによる解析で詳細に明らかにした。
