要介護高齢者の在宅生活の限界点とその規定要因を明らかにすべく、東京都葛飾区および秋田県大館市の居住者を対象に、平成15年度、平成17年度に引き続き、1373組の要介護高齢者と家族主介護者の第3波追跡調査を平成19年度に行った。平成20年度はこの縦断データの解析と、研究者が直接インタビューを実施して得られた質的研究データについて分析を進め、今までに得られた結果をもとに協力者に向けたリーフレットを作成し送付した。また、第1波と第2波のデータを中心に、11章からなる研究成果の単行本の発刊を予定している。
