黄金藻Ochromonas danicaから単離した鞭毛からレクチンにより管状マスチゴネマの単離・精製を行い、構成タンパク質のアミノ酸配列を解析した。得られたアミノ酸配列から抗体を作製し、蛍光抗体法によりその局在部位を解析するとともに、DNA 塩基配列を決定しマスチゴネマ構成タンパク質Ocm1~4の遺伝子を決定した。またこの遺伝子情報によりストラメノパイル系統群の系統解析を行ったほか、遺伝子導入系の確立に向けた検討を行った。
