II_1型Von Neumann環と群作用の研究をした.測度論的群論を用いて行った.測度論的群論とは可算群の間の測度同値という同値関係を研究する新しい分野である.測度同値な2つの群は代数的な結びつきがなくても,弱い結びつきが与えられていると考えることができる.この研究対象には様々なバックグラウンドを持った研究者が取り組んでいる.私は作用素環論における中心的な問題であるII$_1$型von Neumann環の分類とも関係からこの問題をとらえた.測度論的群論は確率空間の離散群作用とも深くかかわっている.作用の軌道同値関係を調べることはそこから定められるvon Neumann環とそのカルタン部分環を調べることと等価であることが知られている.ここに作用素環論と数学の他の分野(記述的集合論,表現論,幾何学的群論)との連携を見出すことができ,今後の発展が期待される分野である.昨年度のストーンチェック境界を用いた研究に引き続き,リース積群の測度論的群論における剛性について研究した.昨年度までにリース積群の間の測度同値が部分群の間の測度同値を導くことを示していた.本年度はその結果を用いてリース積群の剛的性質を見出した.内部従順な群と任意の群との測度同値カップリングについても調べた.群の内部従順性に深くかかわる性質としてガンマと呼ばれる性質がある.昨年にベルギーのバイス氏がこの二つの性質に差があることを示した.私はさらに,それぞれの性質が測度同値不変であるかどうかを調べた.測度同値理論を経由して,II_1型因子環がSolidityという剛的性質を持つかどうか調べることができた.
