项目摘要

私たちは,円滑なコミュニケーションを行うために,他者の感情を適切に理解し,それに適した表出を相手に返すという行為をすることができる.これは,私たちの感情システムが知覚・認知という側面と,身体を利用した表出という運動的な側面を共に扱っているからである.しかしながら,従来の表情研究は知覚・認知の側面,表出の側面をそれぞれ単独に検討することが多く,両者の相互機能については見過ごされることが多かった.そこで本研究では,自己の感情表出という行為の側面と,他者の感情認知という側面がどのように結びつき,相互作用しているのかについて検討した.本年度は具体的に,自己の表情と他者の表情が一致するかしないかという要因,またその表出間の「間」(タイミング)という要因が,他者の表情を知覚する際の注意の配分にどのように影響をするかを検討した。このことについて調べるため,擬似的なコミュニケーション要素によってタイミングや表情の一致性を変化させた場合に,同じ表情でも注意の停留の仕方が異なるかどうか検討した。先行研究によれば,ある種の表情(e.g.脅威表情;怒り・恐怖)にさらされると私たちの注意はその表情に長く焦点があてられる.しかしながら,表情に対する注意の解放は,注意の解放が物理的な表情の性質だけでなく,表情のやり取りといった要素によっても変容することがわかった。たとえば,同じ怒り表情であっても,自分が笑顔をした応答として怒り表情を見る場合は,遅いタイミングの時に注意の解放が遅れ,自分の怒りに対する応答の場合には,早いタイミングでの応答で注意の解放が遅れた。この研究により,我々の視覚的注意は,刺激の物理的特性によって変わるだけでなく,コミュニケーションといった動的な情報をもとに変化することがわかった。
