今年度は、北海道、福島、金沢、富山、新潟、山梨、静岡、四国の各県、山口、鳥取、沖縄における戦前期の小学校女性教員の<職業と家庭>の両立問題に関する資料の所在状況の確認と資料収集及び整理を中心として研究を進めた。各調査地では、県立及び市立図書館、師範学校を前身とする大学付属図書館、教育会館、各地域の郷土資料室、公文書館等を中心に調査、及びインタビューを行った。以下、特に成果のあった地域いついて記す。北海道は資料の良好な残存状況に加え、最後の全国興亜女教員大会への参加者に直接にインタビューを行い、戦時下の研究を推し進めていく上で大きな成果を得られた。新潟県は、基礎的調査に留まったが、戦前からの女教員会が現在も存続する稀有な地域であり、戦前・戦時下でお議論や見解が、戦後どう引き継がれたのかの分析を進めていく。山梨県甲府市では、有志女教員会が立ち上げられた珍しい地域である。今後は、収集した資料をもとに、有志女教員会までをも立ち上げて議論された有夫女性教員の勤務と、学校現場での地位向上に関する議論の分析・考察を行う。富山県は、大正5年時点で、有夫女性教員率が52%を超えており、トップの割合であった富山県は、富山県女教員大会と富山市女教員大会の研究大会要録が残されていることが現地調査により確認され、複写を行ってきた。今後は、資料の分析・考察を行う。四国全体を通じて、職業と家庭の両立の問題をはじめ、女教員会の動きが活発であり資料状況も良好である。特に、徳島県は徳島県女教員大会の研究大会要録が残されており、撮影を行った。今後分析・考察を進めていく。
