骨肉腫の肺転移に重要な転写因子であるNFκBを天然阻害剤パルテノライド投与やデコイオリゴヌクレオチド吸入療法で阻害することにより転移抑制効果を得た。肺胞上皮細胞、マクロファージの培養上清が骨肉腫細胞のNFκB活性を促進することを見いだし、骨肉腫の肺指向性の一因である可能性が示唆された。HIF-1阻害剤アピジェニンも骨肉腫肺転移を抑制した。
