As an educational program for the prevention of life-style related diseases of schoolchildren in collaboration with schools and community, the following things were conducted : (1) blood examination and questionnaire on life-styles, (2) training of measuring blood pressure, (3) educational classes on prevention of life-style related diseases. As the results of this program, schoolchildren had more interest in their own health. They regarded the life-style diseases as their own problem, and they became more health conscious and intended to change their health behaviors. It was hence suggested that this educational program had a possibility to make schoolchildren lead to their appropriate life-styles. In addition, the blood examinations showed a relation between overweight and increasing insulin resistance. Such insulin resistance should be noted in overweight schoolchildren.

作为与学校和社区合作的预防学龄儿童生活方式相关疾病的教育项目，开展了以下活动：(1)血液检查和生活方式问卷调查，(2)血压测量培训，(3)生活方式相关疾病预防教育课程。作为这项计划的结果，学童对自己的健康更感兴趣。他们认为生活方式的疾病是自己的问题，他们的健康意识增强了，并打算改变自己的健康行为。因此，有人建议，这一教育方案有可能使学童引导他们适当的生活方式。此外，血液检查显示，超重与胰岛素抵抗增加有关。超重的学龄儿童应该注意到这种胰岛素抵抗。
