本研究はe ラーニングの中でいまだ本格的に活用される機会が少ない協調学習環境に関して,参加動機に着目し,それを改善した環境を提案することを目的として行ってきたものである.特に,協調学習で必ず利用されるチャットを対象とし,リアルタイムに他の学習者が考察している課程が見られないために,議論の輻輳や発散が生じやすいことに注目した.これは,参加動機の維持が困難となる原因になりえると考えた.昨年度までに,リアルタイム性の欠如によって失われる情報として,(1)チャット内容の記述の進行状況(2)迷いや確信,急ぎの度合いなどの非言語情報があると考え,リアルタイムにテキストの記述の具合を見ることができ,そこから上記の非言語情報も知ることが可能なチャットウィンドウと,俯瞰的に議論の流れを知ることができるトークウィンドウの2 種類のウィンドウからなる協調学習用チャットシステムを開発し,評価した.本年度は,チャットの発話内容の分析結果にもとづき,議論の内容を発話行為タグとして参加者に示すことで,より活発かつ無駄な発散の少ない議論へと誘導できるのではないかと考え,発話行為タグの同定と表示を行うシステムを開発した.同意や疑問などの発話行為の同定にはテンプレートマッチングを用い,発行為タグの表示は顔文字テキストを発話末尾に表示する方式をとった.発話行為タグの表示によって議論が過度に形式ばったものになるのを避けるために,非言語情報の一種である顔文字テキストを用いている.なお,本方式のチャットシステムは,動作確認が終了した段階であり,本格的な運用評価は年度内に終了しなかった.そのため,本方式の評価は今後継続して行う予定である.
