研究実施計画書にしたがい、本年度は文献調査およびフィールドワークを行った。まず文献研究は、「コミュニティーの社会経済的状況を評価する指標」および「地域社会の住民の栄養状態と健康を評価する指標」の2点に焦点を絞り、広く文献を収集し検討した。とくに、社会的弱者である子ども、女性、高齢者を対象とした先行研究を集めてレビューした。対象地域の社会経済状態の指標として「基本的ヒューマンニーズの充足」について各種指標を元に評価すること、また地域住民のQOLを評価するために、WHOが作成した異文化比較のためのQOL指標である「WHOQOL」の短縮版「WHOQOL-BREF」を採用した。フィールドワークは、昨年度に引き続き、エスニック・コンフリクト(民族紛争)の大きな影響を受けたソロモン諸島国・ガダルカナル州・首都ホニアラ近郊のバンバラ村に居住する集団を対象として実施した。調査内容は、(1)基本的ヒューマンニーズの充足、(2)QOL調査票(WHOQOL-BREF質問票を用いて、高等教育を受けた現地アシスタントによるインタビュー形式で実施)。(3)子どもの成長と成人の栄養状態と体格、血圧測定であった。研究成果発表は、3つの国際学会(International Congress on Auxology 「Tokyo」、 Lao PDR National Health Research Forum [Vientiane]、 International Health and Physical Fitness Conference [Taichung])と2つの国内学会(日本人類学会[新潟]、日本民族衛生学会[高岡])において発表を行った。ソロモン諸島ウェスタン州の子どもの成長と栄養状態の比較の論文をはじめ、学術論文5本、また図書(1つの章を担当)1点を公刊した。

This year's literature survey was conducted in the context of the implementation plan. The literature research focuses on two aspects: "Indicators for evaluating the state of social health" and "Indicators for evaluating the state of health and well-being of local residents."
