本研究の特筆すべき研究成果は以下の3点にある。第一に、解雇規制がインド労働市場に与える効果を事業所レベルのミクロデータや州パネルデータなどを通じて分析した。第二に、労働市場にかかわるデータ整備を行い、そうしたデータの一部を用いてインド経済のマクロ分析を行った。第三に、家計調査のミクロデータを用いて、労働供給の規定的要因である人口問題や貧困層向けに政府が自営を奨励したり賃金雇用を提供したりする貧困対策事業などの政策評価、などの実証分析を行った。
