项目摘要

本年度は、まずダウン症者の心理・行動機能維持プログラムを開発し、実際に適用を試み、その効果及び課題などについて検討を行った。支援は、間接支援と直接支援の2つが行われた。その結果、直接支援に参加した対象者から「自分の健康管理の仕方がわかった」「食事や栄養について勉強できてよかった」「ダイエットできた」などの感想や報告があった。また、保護者からは「楽しんで、勉強できた」「健康管理が以前よりもしっかりとできるようになった」などの報告があった。間接支援を行った施設職員からは「日頃行っている内容の重要性が再確認できるとともに、継続し、能力の維持を試みようと考えた」などの報告があった。しかし、対象者が主として取り組んだプログラム内容は個々によって異なっていることもあり、全体を評価することは難しかった。また、知的発達水準に応じたプログラム内容に改変していくことやプログラムの効果を客観的に評価していく尺度の開発などの課題も浮き彫りとなった。そして、本年度は平成18年度に実施した全国の知的障害関係施設における利用者の能力維持や健康管理に関するアンケート調査について、学会発表及び学術論文にて研究成果を公開した。さらに、2年間の研究成果について「成人期版:ダウン症者の支援マニュアル〜生涯発達のタイプと地域に応じた支援方法〜」という報告書としてまとめ、全国の知的障害関係施設などの関係機関に配布した。なお、研究成果の一部については、まだ未公開のため今後公開していく予定である。
