固体基板上に支持された脂質二重膜の構造・物性に固体表面が及ぼす影響について原子間力顕微鏡および蛍光顕微鏡を用いて詳細に調べた。水溶液中でも安定な、原子ステップとテラス構造からなるTiO2表面およびその上での平面脂質二重膜の調整方法を確立した。脂質二重膜の形状変化および膜内の相分離構造に表面-脂質間相互作用と基板表面原子スケール構造が強く関わることを明らかにした。
