This study empirically focuses on the characteristic of land ownership in Japanese early modern village through an examination of the land redistribution practices in Niigata prefecture. On the basis of case study about Kamishiojiri village, we proceeded with the documentary search of villages in the Kanbara plain, which had the land redistribution practices, for example Nakagohya village. And we begin to sink in that the land redistribution practices which had been regarded as community land ownership were involved with the local natural environment and the structure of villages.

本研究以日本新泻县的土地再分配实践为例，对日本近代早期村落的土地所有权特征进行了实证分析。以上盐尻村为例，对日本神奈川平原上实施土地再分配的村庄进行了文献检索，以中户村为例进行了分析。而我们开始陷入这样一个困境：土地再分配的实践，曾经被认为是集体土地所有制，却与当地的自然环境和村落结构有着千丝万缕的联系。
