これまで断片的にしか把握されていなかった「笠懸公民タイムス」の市民編集について、創刊当時から廃刊までの全期間について検討できた。また、編集委員へのアンケート調査とインタビューを実施し、編集に関わった市民の意識を把握できた。これらについては、報告書を作成し、関係者や群馬県内関係機関に配布した。さらに、市民編集を歴史的に遡及する試みとして、長野県内に現地調査を実施し、今後の研究への糸口を見出した。
