障害物を考慮するとともに、距離として、非対称A 距離を用い、配置候補地の望ましさ、さらに既存の施設の存在を仮定したモデルを設定して、効率的な解法を作り出すことができた。これは実際の都市計画に近いモデルであり、計画担当者の助けとなる。さらに現在だけではなく、将来にわたる状況を考慮したモデルや、地理情報システムを応用したGISモデルも考えており、この点も計画に寄与するものである。この点について、国際共同研究の台湾での責任者の成功大学都市計画系葉光毅教授にも意見を聞いたところ、まだ問題が少し残っているが、十分に実際の都市計画に資するものとコメントを頂いている。SCI Journalにも成果を発表しており、数理的方法としてはかなりの成果が得られている
