本研究では遣唐使の特質を唐文化移入のあり方や入唐後の動向を通じて検討し、その成果は既発表論文とともに著書『遣唐使と古代日本の対外政策』(吉川弘文館)として上梓することができた。また平安中・後期の日中関係を解明する材料として入宋僧成尋の『参天台五臺山記』の校訂本作りと記事の分析を進めるとともに、成尋に至る入宋僧の系譜を考究して論文化し、これらの成果を報告書の形で刊行することで、広く学界共有の研究基盤を呈することに貢献したものと考える。

The purpose of this study is to introduce the culture of the Tang Dynasty into the Tang Dynasty. After the introduction of the Tang culture into the Tang Dynasty, the study published the Foreign Policy of sending the Tang Dynasty to Ancient Japan (Hiroshi Yoshikawa). In the later period of the middle and later period of peace, the materials were published in the Song Dynasty monk Cheng Yun, "Shentiantai Wuyushan", the analysis of the original work, the analysis of the chronicle, the study of the culture of the monk in the Song Dynasty, the publication of the research results, and the research foundation in the academic circle.
