薬物代謝酵素シトクロムP450は、医薬品の薬理効果発現に重要な役割を担っている。最近ヒトP450の-部で発現に性差が存在することが明らかとなってきた。そこで、雌特異的な発現を示すマウスCYP2B9をモデルとして調節機構の基礎的なデータを得たCYP2B9の発現に雌雄差が生ずることは、成長ホルモンの雌雄で異なる分泌パターンに基本的に支配され、Cyp2b9遺伝子の発現調節に関わる転写因子として、HNF3β(FoxA2)とSTAT5bを同定し、関わる遺伝子領域の解析を行った。
