Aromataseはアンドロゲン(男性ホルモン)をエストロゲン(女性ホルモン)に変換する酵素である。本研究では、摂食調節中枢である視床下部弓状核において、アンドロゲン受容体が摂食抑制ホルモンであるレプチンの作用を増強する機序を解明した。また、卵巣顆粒膜細胞でのアロマターゼ活性が、摂食促進ホルモンであるグレリンによって調節されていることを発見した。以上の結果から、生体のアンドロゲン・エストロゲン環境を左右するアロマターゼが、摂食調節・食欲の男女差にも関連している可能性が示唆された。

Aromatase is an enzyme that can be transformed into an enzyme. This study clarified the mechanism of enhancement of the role of the receptors in the arcuate nucleus of the inferior optic bed in the food regulatory center. The activity of the cells in the egg granule membrane is regulated by the enzyme. The above results indicate the possibility of a gender gap in the regulation of food intake.
