Heegaard Floer homologyおよびcontact classを用いてレンズ空間手術の問題に関係する研究をしてきた。特にホモロジー球面のデーン手術からレンズ空間を作る方法について考えた。その結果、あるホモロジー球面でデーン手術によってどんなレンズ空間も得られないものが存在することを発見した。この事実をもとにHeegaard Floer homologyのcontact classとレンズ空間手術の関係ついて考えてきた。このような関係は今まであまり多く考察されて来なかったが重要だと思われる。いくつかのホモロジー球面からレンズ空間が得られる場合を考察した。そのようなホモロジー球面たちは3次元球面のある結び目のデーン手術から構成できることがあることを発見した。つまり、ホモロジー球面からレンズ空間が得られるとき、そのホモロジー球面はある3次元球面内の結び目の有理デーン手術として特徴付けられることを予想した。以前報告者が考察したポアンカレホモロジー球面からレンズ空間を得るリストの中にそのような列が含まれていることを確かめた。そのリストの他の例に対しても同じようなことがいえるかについて研究をした。またこれらの考察を深めることでそのリストの一部で双対結び目がsimpleであるようなものの結び目の位置を決定できた。さらにそれを洗練させることによってデーン手術によって得られる結び目の位置と結び目の入るホモロジー球面の性質との関係を深めた。またいくつかのsutured Floer homologyとそのcontact classの計算を行っており、その計算により一般的な性質を究明している。
