2002年に実施した、超高齢者を対象とした訪問調査から5年後の追跡調査を行い、(1)精神機能の経年変化の実態把握、(2)精神機能の経年変化の予測因子の探索、(3)生命予後と精神機能の関連、について検討した。 検討の結果以下が示された。(1)超高齢期においては、身体機能と比較して精神機能の低下は緩やかである可能性が示唆された。(2)体力、心理的幸福感が高い者ほど認知機能が維持されやすいこと、生活習慣病の罹患が無い者ほど心理的幸福感が維持されやすいことが示された。(3)認知機能が高い者ほど、生命予後が良好であることが示された。 本知見より、超高齢期におけるサクセスフル・エイジングを達成するためには、身体機能だけでなく精神機能の維持が重要であることが示唆された。

A follow-up survey was conducted five years later in 2002.(1) The status of aging of refined firearms was ascertained.(2) The predictive factors of aging of refined firearms were explored.(3) The relationship between life and refined firearms was investigated. The results of the investigation are shown below. (1)The possibility of hyperactivity and low body function is discussed. (2)Physical and psychological well-being are high, cognitive function is maintained, lifestyle diseases are not affected, and psychological well-being is maintained (3)Cognitive function is high, life is good. This knowledge is important for the maintenance of body functions.
