项目摘要

まず文献調査においては本研究が基盤とすべき理論を検討した。その結果、前年度より着目しているイアン・ハッキング(Ian Hacking)の「ルーピング効果」をめぐる議論に加えて、医学における「正常」と「異常」の分類の成り立ちを批判的に検討したフランス科学認識論、中でもその始祖であるジョルジュ・カンギレム(Georges Canguilhem)と、日本におけるその継承者である金森修の論に注目すべきことを確認した。次に、前年度、既に英国で4名のダウン症のある子を持つ親にインタビューを行なっているが、24年度は、8月に、英国と同様の医療制度を持つニュージーランドにおいて、国際的に重要な活動に取り組んでいる親2名、及びニュージーランドダウン症協会からの紹介を受けた親2名の、合わせて4名にインタビューを行なった。また日本においては、英国ダウン症協会主催の写真プロジェクトを紹介する企画を遂行する中で、日本ダウン症協会との協力関係を深めている。ダウン症を持つ本人へのインタビューについても、概ね許可を頂いており、今後協力して詳細を決定していく予定である。24年度は、いくつかの機会に行なった口頭発表を通して分析及び考察を深めることができた。その暫定的な成果は、現在科学技術社会論学会誌に論文を投稿中である他、生活書院において計画されている編著のひとつとして執筆した。尚、昨年度Disability and Societyに投稿中であった原稿は、現在再投稿準備中である。その他、24年度は本研究と関わる重要な事象として、国内数施設で臨床研究として所謂「新型出生前検査」の提供が開始されたことがある。出生前検査の倫理的課題に関わる研究者として、メディアからの問い合わせに対応した他、提供指針を発表した日本産科婦人科学会に対し、策定過程において意見書を提出する取り組みに参加した。
