项目摘要

本研究の目的は、ディアスポラ・トランスナショナリズムの枠組みを用いて、1905 年から 1947 年に至るインド独立運動と日本との関わりを捉え、地球規模で展開されたインド独立運動全体における日本の位置づけを考察することにある。それを通じて、インド独立運動の重層性と多面性、地球規模の連繋と軌跡の重要な一側面を明らかにすることが最終的な目標である。研究第4年目の本年度は、①国際会議におけるこれまでの研究成果の公開、②海外調査としてインドにおける史・資料収集、③国内調査として関西・関東地方におけるフィールドワーク、④戦前期より発行が続いている機関誌を通じた研究成果の発信、以上の4点に努めた。①については、前年度以前・以降で収集した史料の分析結果をもとに、第３回日本研究ヨーロッパ協会（EAJS）日本会議において、大正期東京におけるインド人ディアスポラに対する帝国日本の公的権力によるインテリジェンス（監視・情報収集）の実態と背景を報告した。②については、ムンバイ所在のアジア協会や聖ピウス10世カレッジ図書館などで研究テーマに関わる文献調査をおこなった。③に関しては関西・関東地方の各地におけるインド独立運動史関係の史跡・記念碑などの実地踏査をした。④以上の研究成果の一部を『月刊インド』の最新号に投稿し、掲載した。以上を通じて、大正期の日本でインド独立運動に関わったインド人・インド系ディアスポラの政治運動のみならず、教育・商業活動、さらには彼らの日本人や欧米人との関係を明らかにすることができた。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the independence movement and Japan from 1905 to 1947, and to investigate the position of Japan in the development of the independence movement on the scale of the earth. There are many ways to achieve this goal, such as the multi-layered nature of independent motion, the multi-faceted nature of the earth's scale, the important nature of the earth's trajectory, and the ultimate purpose. The fourth year of the study includes: (1) publication of research results at international conferences;(2) history and data collection of overseas surveys;(3) domestic surveys and local surveys in Kansai and Kanto;(4) publication of research results at pre-development organizations; and (5) efforts made in the above four areas. The third Japan Research Association (EAJS) Japan Conference was held in Tokyo during the Taisho period, and the current situation and background of the Japanese government's efforts to monitor and collect information were reported. 2. Research and literature survey of the 10th century③ We have conducted a thorough investigation of historical sites and monuments related to the history of the independence movement in various parts of Kansai and Kanto. 4. One of the above research results was published in the latest issue of Monthly Magazine. The above is related to the Japanese independence movement, education and business activities, and the relationship between the Japanese and the Europeans.
