项目摘要

本研究は，幼少時から日本に定住・長期滞在している子どもの第二言語（L2）としての日本語力に焦点を当てている。格助詞に注目し，4種類の格助詞（「が」「を」「に」「で」）の産出知識を測るためのテストを作成した。2年目に，L2日本語話者である子どもが多く通う公立小学校において全校調査（2校，計1300名）を実施し，3年目からデータ分析を開始した。この結果は，4年目に査読を経て『日本語教育』177号に掲載済である。この論文では，日本滞在歴5年以上のL2日本語の子どものみを分析対象としたところ，同年代の日本語モノリンガルの子どもとのテスト結果の間に有意差が見られたが，これは主に語順交替を伴うアイテムの結果の違いによるものであった。続いて5年目は日本滞在歴5年未満の子どもに注目した分析を行い，2本の論文を執筆した。1本目は，中国語を母語とする子どものみを抽出し，日本語と中国語の文法構造の違いにも言及した議論を行っている。また，北米の移民の子どもが英語をL2として習得する際に形態素（前置詞を含む）の習得に困難を覚えるといった先行研究を引用しながら，子どものL2習得のメカニズムについての普遍性を議論した論考となっている。この論文は，査読を経てIF のついた国際誌に掲載済である（https://doi.org/10.1515/iral-2021-0092）。2本目は，同じく日本滞在歴5年未満の子どもに注目をしているが，分析対象とするアイテム数を国際誌に掲載された論文よりも広げ，日本語の格助詞の細かな使い分けについて，より詳細な分析を行い，教育実践への直接的な応用を目指した論考となっている。こちらも査読を経て，2022年8月発行の『日本語教育』182号に掲載済である。
