九州大学病院産科婦人科ならびに総合周産期母子医療センターで妊娠・分娩管理をおこなう症例のうち、研究への協力の同意を文書でえられたものについてデータ採取を行った。対象症例は母体合併症症例(妊娠高血圧症候群、精神・神経疾患、羊水過多・羊水過少)、胎児異常例(胎児脳形態異常、子宮内胎児発育遅延、胎児心拍数モニター異常)である。妊娠35-38週時に超音波断層装置を用いて胎児の行動を観察し、胎児中枢神経系機能評価を行った。本評価法によって胎児脳機能障害と診断し、出生後画像診断により確定診断した症例が存在した。今後、胎児脳機能評価結果を出生後の神経学的検査結果および画像診断所見と検討し、脳機能障害の不可逆的なものと可逆的なものとを判断できる指標の検討を行っていく。このことにより、新生児の脳障害を減少させることが期待される。また、胎児脳機能評価法が臨床応用可能なものであることを検証するために、検者間、施設間の差がないことを確認していく。
