本研究は、戦時下の国民学校制度が準備されていく中で、芸能科中の図画科と工作科の統合的な扱いが文部省内においてどのように扱われていたかを考察した。具体的な研究対象は、文部省、及び図画工作教育の関係者らによる省内会議における口述記録である。ところで、芸能科工作は、国民学校制度の準備期間中の昭和15年5月まで芸能科作業となっていたことから、当時、作業の時点で芸能科図画との統合関係が考えられていた可能性がある。よって、昭和15年5月以前の省議の記録を基に芸能科図画と作業の統合関係の有無について考察することとなった。具体的な研究の方法としては、昭和15年1～3月の省内会議における国民学校教科案の会議の資料、及び、芸能科図画・作業の教科書編纂方針の出席者らの口述記録から統合関係がどのように扱われていたかを考察した。研究の結果、芸能科の図画と作業は、(1)昭和15年1～2月にかけ省内において審議された教科課程表の試案において既に図画と作業は同単位を分かち合う教科目として設定されていた。(2)昭和15年3月の省内において開催された芸能科図画・作業の教科書編纂方針の会議の口述記録を分析した結果、両教科目は既に、参加者らの中で、低学年において統合的に扱われることが共通認識となっていた、という2点を明らかにした。以上の2点から、省内において、教科課程表及び教科書編纂方針に関して、工作が作業であった時点で既に図画との統合関係が考えられていたと結論付けた。具体的な資料分析と結論の内容は、和田学「国民学校の芸能科図画・作業の関係に関する一考察」『美術教育学』(*美術科教育学会誌)、2014年, 535-548.において発表した。

This study investigates the preparation of the current national school system, the integration of academic subjects and work subjects in the Ministry of Education and Culture. Specific research on the relationship between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education During the preparation period of the national school system, in May of the 15th year of Showa, the integration relationship between the work and the work was examined. Before May 15, 2015, the provincial discussion records were recorded, and the existence of the integrated relationship between the scientific and technological work was investigated. The specific research methods include the data of the provincial meeting on textbooks for national schools from January to March of 1915, and the oral records of the participants in the textbook compilation policy for science and technology. The results of the study are as follows: (1) From January to February of 15th year of Showa, the provincial curriculum was reviewed and the trial plan was set up. (2)In March 2015, the provincial government opened a meeting to urge the development of science and technology, and the oral records of the textbook compilation policy were analyzed. The results of the teaching subjects were analyzed. The participants were in the middle and lower academic years. The integration of the two points was discussed. The above two points are related to the provincial curriculum and textbook compilation policy, and the work is related to the integration relationship between the two.
