项目摘要

近年の日本では,欧米で犯罪不安の問題として扱われるような自分の被害への恐怖が高じているのではなく,社会自体の安心感や信頼感が揺らいでいること問題性が指摘されている。こうした指摘を踏まえ,これまでに社会的水準と個人的水準から犯罪被害に対する認知的・感情的反応(リスク認知・犯罪不安)を捉え,認知的・感情的反応がもたらす帰結,認知的・感情的反応に影響を及ぼす要因について検討を行ってきた。一連の研究の結果,1、大学生では,4側面の反応のうち,個人的水準の不安が防犯対策を促進し,2、幼児を持つ母親では,社会的水準の認知的・感情的反応が防犯対策を促進していた。一方,4側面の反応に影響を及ぼす要因として,3、マス・メディアは,視聴内容から受けるインパクトを介してのみ,リスク認知や犯罪不安を増大させることが示された。本年度は,幼児を持つ母親に関するデータを再分析し,大学生同様,1、マス・メディアは,視聴内容からインパクトを受ける過程を通してのみ,リスク認知や犯罪不安を増大させること,2、他者との会話が地域連携意識を喚起し,それが防犯行動を促進することを明らかにした。また,幼児を持つ母親を対象とする面接調査の結果,犯罪に関する話題は比較的少ないこと,少ないながら不審者に関する情報交換が頻繁に行われていることが示された。さらに本年度は,4側面の認知的・感情的反応に影響を及ぼす個人の内的要因として,楽観性を取り上げ,大学生を対象に調査を行った。分析の結果,男性では,マス・メディアがリスク認知や犯罪不安を増大させる一方,楽観性がリスク認知や犯罪不安を減少させるが,女性ではそうした関係は見られなかった。さらにまた,本年度は20代女性のデートDVやストーカーへのリスク認知・犯罪不安を把握するためのWeb調査を実施した。その結果,多くの女性がデートDVストーカー行為に対して不安を感じ,特にマス・メディアへは,見知らぬ人からのストーカー行為に対するリスク認知や犯罪不安と関連している可能性が示唆された。
