项目摘要

1、貞門・談林の親句から元禄俳諧の疎句へという構図でとらえられてきた連句史を再検討し、新たな視点で連句史をとらえ直す目的のもと、親句の詞付と疎句の心付の両者をつなぐ転換点にある手法として、談林の「ぬけ」に注目した研究を行った。まず「ぬけ」の手法が、一句にあるべき語を欠くという点では、貞門の「ぬけがら」と同様でありながら、前句中の語ではなく、前句から連想される語を敢えてぬくことで、飛躍して句を付けるのに有効な積極的手法として用いられている点で、「ぬけがら」とは形式の上でも全く別物であることを示した。次に「ぬけ」は、貞門談林の詞付から元禄疎句への流れの中で、固定化された付筋を逃れ、自由に作意を働かせる手法として働く一方、前句・付句の語が一対一で対応する詞付の原則に基づいており、元禄疎句の心付とは根本的に異なる手法であることを明らかにした。「ぬけ」は、詞付の制約を逃れようと試みつつ、詞付を根本からは否定しなかった談林俳諧の実態を如実に反映した極めて談林的な手法であった。2、沾徳・沾洲・不角ら享保期の江戸俳壇で活躍した俳諧師に関する未翻刻資料の収集を目的として、大阪府立大学学術情報センター蔵山崎文庫、柿衞文庫の俳書を調査した。特に柿衞文庫には沾徳・沾洲の俳論のうかがわれる写本や、門人の作品に合点を付した点帖が多く所蔵され、これまで不明な点の多かった彼らの宗匠活動の解明のための手がかりとなる。これらの資料調査と並行して、享保期の江戸の俳諧師の作風を分析し、其角の作風を媒介として、蕉風俳諧の本質を逆照射することを目的とする研究をすすめた。沾徳の俳論書『沾徳随筆』には、自らの難解句に自注を付す記述が多く見受けられることから、今年度は特に『沾徳随筆』に焦点をあて、自ら解説を付すことで難解句の理解を助けるという方法に注目して調査をすすめた。
