项目摘要

本研究の目的は「冷戦期アメリカ文学において歴史的事件としてのヒロシマ(およびナガサキ)を語る可能性」を検討することにある。これまではおもにカート・ヴォネガットの核文学を環太平洋的な文脈に位置付け直すことを通じて、冷戦期アメリカの政治的言説に抗するような文学的営みの可能性を析出してきた。そこでは、同時代の歴史が忘却・抑圧してきた広島や長崎に対する原爆攻撃が、目撃体験者の危機的語りのなかに表現されていることを確認した。研究3年目にあたる当該年度は、より広い歴史的文脈から本研究を再検討することに主眼を置いた。具体的には、南北戦争からイラク戦争にいたる米国のこれまでの戦争がいかに記憶(忘却)されてきたのかを視野に入れながら、現在も終わらない核・空爆といった問題について再考した。おもな業績は以下の通りである。(1)当初の研究計画通り、平成22年10月、日本アメリカ文学会第48回全国大会(於立正大学)にてシンポジウムに講師として参加し、口頭発表および討議をおこなった。本発表はマーク・トウェインの語りの伝統に現代作家カードヴォネガットを位置づけることで、支配的言説からこぼれおちるような戦争の記憶がいかに文学化されてきたかをより広いアメリカ文学史的見地から検討しようと試みたものである。発表内容は雑誌論文としてまとめられた。(2)平成23年1月、"Narrating Lives"(人生を語る)というテーマで開催されたModern Language Association (MLA)年次大会(於米国ロスアンゼルス)に参加し、最新の研究動向を把握することに努めた。(3)前年度にひきつづき、数名の研究者とともに共著を準備中である。本邦初訳となる資料の選定をはじめ、全体の構成・執筆に企画段階から参加(『現代作家ガイドカート・ヴォネガット(仮)』彩流社,平成23年度刊行予定)。

The purpose of this study is to discuss the possibility of the event in the history of literature in the cold period. The possibility of nuclear literature in the Pacific Rim context is discussed. The history of this era has been forgotten, suppressed, and confirmed by the atomic bomb attack on Nagasaki and the expression of the witness crisis. This study was conducted in the context of the third year of the study. The concrete problem is that the North-South conflict is between the North and the South, and the South and the North and the South and the South and the North and the South andおもな业绩は以下の通りである。(1)In October 2012, the 48th National Conference of the Japanese Literature Association (at Rishida University) was held. This paper presents the theory of modern writers, the theory of literature, the theory of literature, the theory of literature and the theory of literature. The content of the report is not the same as that of the paper. (2)January 2013,"Narrating Lives"(Life Language) and "Opening of the Modern Language Association (MLA) Annual Conference"(in the United States) to participate in the latest research trends (3)In the previous year, several researchers worked together to prepare for it. The selection of data for the first time in the country, the composition of the whole, and the planning stage of writing participated in ("Modern Writers", scheduled for publication in 2013).
