昨年度の本申請者が行動変動性の強化技法の特性を調べた研究から、先行研究で広範に便用される手続きでは系列依存性に対する制御力に難があり、その他の技法の開発が必要であることが示唆されていた。申請者は以前より反応の連を対象とした制御手続きを策定してきたが、本年度は、それを利用した強化技法による系列依存性の制御が可能であることを示した実験報告をJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior誌から公刊した。本年度はGambler's Fallacy現象の行動的基礎を検討するために、ラットを用いた実験を行った。直近の数試行で経験した強化系列に関する弁別制御が示されるならば、ヒト同様にGambler's Fallacyを示すことが例示できると仮定し、現在も実験は継続中である。仮に様々な条件で実験を行った結果、当現象を観察することができなかったならば、それは翻って比較認知的に貢献が可能なデータとなることが見込まれる。また、この実験の訓練から副産的に新たな現象を発見した。各試行でランダムに2レバーのうち一方の側のランプが点灯し、点灯側への反応が変動比率(VR)20スケジュールにより強化された。ラットは80～90%程度、弁別が可能な状態まで訓練を受けたが、強化子を取得した後の反応列を分析したところ、取得後10反応程度までは、直前に強化子の影響を受け適切な弁別制御が妨げられることがわかった。これは、行動変動性の1つの生成源と考えられる。また弁別制御からの逸脱は強化子を生じることは決してないため、非合理的に衝動的に行動遂行を行なっていた。今後、衝動性と行動変動性の関係を検討する方向性は新たな現象を生む可能性があると考えられる。
