本研究では,二次的自然の環境保全機能の評価手法の開発に向けたデータの特性の把握と,評価手法の構築に関わる文献レビューを行った.それとともに二次的自然の管理政策の現状についてはため池の管理組織形態と存続をめぐる費用負担の実態を明らかにし,歴史については首都圏の農地保全政策の歴史を明らかにした.これら一連の結果などをもとに,日本を含むアジア地方都市圏の二次的自然の保全政策の方向性について検討した.
