Expressions and Representations of Modern War : Comparing Literature and Cinema in China, France and Japan

本文通过中法两国的比较研究，展示了二战期间，关于国家和民族危机的话语是如何通过媒体传播，并通过关注日本的现代战争而成为陈词滥调的。另一方面，从文学和电影表达的角度，本研究也确定了日本文学作品和电影在这一时期存在着批判国家和民族危机话语的潜在可能。

Through a comparative study of China and France, this research demonstrated how a discourse on the crisis of nation and ethnicity spread through the media and became cliched by focusing on modern warfare in Japan during WWII. On the other hand, from the perspective of literary and cinematic expression, this research also determined that the hidden potential for Japanese literary works and films to criticize the discourse on the crisis of nation and ethnicity existed at this time.
