Frequency of warfare in Lower Omo has been decreasing since 1990s. This study induces hypothesis on social context and changes due to duration of "peace". It is suggested that stronger intervention of local government and cultural protocol of peacemaking affect frequency and intensity of warfare and cattle raiding, and that buffer zone between hostile groups has been narrower as peaceful period lasts.

自20世纪90年代以来，下奥莫的战争频率一直在下降。本研究对“和平”持续时间的社会背景和变化进行了假设。研究表明，地方政府的更强干预和缔造和平的文化礼仪影响着战争和掠牛的频率和强度，随着和平时期的持续，敌对群体之间的缓冲区变得更窄。
