More efficient Training for English Communication based on Written Chat coupled with Aural Dialogue

研究发现，在大学英语课程中，在线书面交流(Chat)的数量增长速度并不逊色，即使该课程减少了书面练习，为口头交流腾出了空间。这两种交流模式的结合使得在繁忙的大学英语课程中引入聊天成为可能，因为聊天是一种仍然很少见的沟通模式，对于一节英语课的单一活动来说，如果再加上口语练习，比起专门针对聊天的课程，聊天更容易被纳入对话或讨论课堂。研究还发现，对于每项任务，最好的组合是将聊天放在口头交流之前。本研究为笔者对三维互动教育系统的长期研究做出了新的贡献。

It was discovered that the growth rate in volume of online written communication (chat) observed in a college-level English course is no less noticeable even when the course reduces written exercise to make room for oral communication. The combination of the two modes of communication makes it possible to introduce chat to busy college English curriculum because chat, a still rare mode of communication for a sole activity of an English class, would be easier to include in a conversational or discussion class if coupled with oral exercise in comparison to a course exclusively devoted for chat. It was also found out that the best combination is to place chat before oral communication for each task. This research has made a new contribution to the author's long-term research on 3-dimensional interactive education system.
