An historical geography of historic landscapes in colonial Korea

历史遗迹保护是日本统治下的朝鲜殖民地的重要项目之一。新罗、百济、高句丽等古代王国的历史遗址不仅成为日本历史学家的学术关注，而且成为殖民旅游的景点。当地的保护协会努力鼓励日本游客参观这些与古代日本有密切关系的地方。在这些情况下，遗产空间作为游客体验“过去的日本”和与殖民主义深深融合在一起的想象地理的地方。本研究以百济王国最后的首都扶余为例，提供了特别的参考。

Conservation of historic sites was one of the important projects in colonial Korea under the Japanese domination. Historic places regarding to ancient kingdoms, Shilla, Baekje, and Goguryeo, came to be not only academic concern of Japanese historians but also attractions in colonial tourism. Local conservation societies made efforts to encourage Japanese travelers to visit those sites as places with close relationship with ancient Japan. In those cases heritage spaces worked as places where the visitors experienced 'past Japan' and imaginative geographies deeply incorporated with colonialism. This study provides a special reference of the case of Buyeo, the last capital city of Baekje Kingdom.
